Teus Nobel – live

Film + concert 'Child's Play'

Fri 18 September 2026 - 19:00 - Music Stage Paradox - € 23,00 film + concert

Concert & Film: Teus Nobel – Child’s Play. Experience a special evening with film and live music featuring Tilburg trumpeter Teus Nobel.

In the winter of 2025, he recorded the jazz album Child’s Play, set for release in September 2026, along with a compelling documentary about his life and work. The film will be screened at Paradox during the Music Film Festival on September 18, followed by an interview with the filmmakers and Teus Nobel himself. Afterward, Teus Nobel and his band will perform a full live concert. Bassist Jasper Høiby, drummer Niek de Bruijn, and the outstanding guitarist Jerome Hol will join the band, replacing regular guitarist Teis Semey.

The purchased ticket grants admission to both the film screening and the subsequent concert.

Child’s Play is inspired by Teus’s children, Bix (6) and Charlie (3), and the vibrant energy of the Nobel family. The documentary captures Teus Nobel during an intense period in his life, as he navigates familycrisis, fatherhood, and his artistic ambitions. Following a family crisis, Teus Nobel resumes his artistic career with new musical projects. Driven by jazz and improvisation, he follows every path—toward both solace and pain.

A candid portrait by filmmakers Simon Sixsmith and Steven Denniss.
