MILES is not about explaining who Miles Davis was, but about understanding how he created. Through the voices of musicians who played with him — Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Marcus Miller, John McLaughlin, Carlos Santana and others — the film reveals a radical way of making music: without fixed structures, without safety nets, driven by risk and uncertainty.
Miles didn’t give answers. He created situations.
