Experience a unique evening where jazz, film and life itself come together. In his moving documentary, filmmaker Dion Bierdrager takes you into the life of jazz drummer Sun Mi Hong. He followed her from Amsterdam to her native South Korea, where she visits family she has not seen for years — a journey full of memories, homesickness and rediscovery.

In addition to the musical path as a drummer, bandleader and teacher, the film also shows the quiet moments: how you find a home between two worlds, and how music can be your compass.

After the film, presenter/jazz drummer Joost Patocka will talk further with Sun Mi.
