This spring Clem Burke passed away. He wasn't just the drummer of Blondie, he was the real driving force of the band.

Clem Burke was the driving force of the band Blondie. His swinging drumming style drew millions of people to the dance floor. And it earned him a long list of artists who wanted to play with him, from Bob Dylan to The Eurythmics.

British filmmaker Philip Sansom followed the Blondie drummer on tour around the world. In his film My View: Clem Burke the energy bursts from the screen. The drummer can’t seem to sit still for a second. And he would prefer to sit at the front of the stage – right next to singer Debbie Harry – instead of behind her.

My View: Clem Burke Now Showing at the Music Film Festival

Feel the energy behind the drum kit as Clem plays with Blondie in Hyde Park for 80,000 people, and witness his tireless work ethic at The Cavern Club during Beatles Week, where he plays five shows in 24 hours.

Exclusive interviews with Dave Stewart, Chris Stein, Hugh Cornwall, Glen Matlock, Bob Gruen and many more shine a spotlight on one of rock ‘n’ roll’s most active heroes.

A discussion with film director Philip Sansom follows the screening.
