Desert rock legend on tour

Interview, film + concert: Alain Johannes (Queen Of The Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures) & members of the band Iron Jinn. Alain Johannes will make his first appearance in his new European tour.

Alain Johannes is a co-founder of several influential bands, including the alternative rock group Eleven, along with Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age, and Dave Grohl of Them Crooked Vultures. He played with a range of artists including PJ Harvey, Chris Cornell, Arctic Monkeys, Mark Lanegan and The Desert Sessions (again with Josh Homme). Last year, Them Crooked Vultures reunited for a special concert in memory of the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Johannes plays work from his latest album “HUM”, repertoire of the bands Eleven, QOTSA, and Desert Sessions, Euphoria Morning songs and solo material.

Johannes is accompanied in Tilburg by members of the psychedelic rock band Iron Jinn, which originated from Amsterdam: Oeds Beydals (The Devil’s Blood, Death Alley), Wout Kemkens (Shaking Godspeed, De Nobodyers) and Bob Hogenelst (Birth of Joy). In April of this year, their debut album “Iron Jin” was released on Stickman Records.

Alain Johannes will open his new European tour at the Music Festival 2023, on September 3, at stage at 013. It will begin with an Alain Johannes’ extended interview by music program maker Jan Douwe Kroeske and unique film material will be shown.
