Ticket sales have started for the Flemish pop group Het Zesde Metaal, which is the musical closing event of this year’s Music Film Festival. On Sunday, September 8, the band will perform at Poppodium 013 in Tilburg. The concert is preceded by an interview with singer Wannes Cappelle by Jan Douwe Kroeske, plus film fragments. Ticket sales have already started. Het Zesde Metaal became known with songs such as ‘Ploegsteert’, ‘Naar De Wuppe’ and ‘Tid Van Ton’, and lavishly celebrated albums such as ‘Nie Voe Kinders’ and ‘Calais’. The latest album ‘The Longest Year’ was created during the heaviest period in the band’s history, when guitarist and keyboardist Tom Pintens passed away. The band performs in sold-out venues in Belgium and the group is also on the rise in the Netherlands, after several successful TV performances.
