With the screening of the movies “Epica: Live At Paradiso” and “Freakscene: The Story of Dinosaur Jr.” the Music Film Festival 2022 really started. For “Freakscene” Berlin filmmaker Philipp Reichenheim was personally present at Filmtheater Cinecitta to answer questions from the audience. For example about his collaboration with Dinosaur frontman J. Mascis, who according to Reichenheim is much funnier, happier and more talkative than he appears to the outside world. And about the many archive material for which there was no place in the film and the follow-up projects he is working on. Dinosaur Jr. will be performing again after a long break (including on October 28 in Amsterdam), so Reichenheim could make a sequel to his own film, a visitor suggested. Good idea, the filmmaker thought.
